On March 1st to 3rd, Supermarket Trade Show 2006 was held at Tokyo Big Sight. Marking its 40th Anniversary, the exhibition is one of the biggest and most effective events for domestic retailers.
Teraoka Seiko Co. Ltd. (Teraoka Japan) secured the biggest booth among the exhibitors with about 1800 square meters.
This year Teraoka presented total solutions to the four business markets: retail shops of Teraoka/DIGI's main business; food plant and food processing centers; industry: and Teraoka/DIGI's newest business . the hospitality industry such as restaurants, fast food shops and laundry shops.
During the three days at the show, more than 4000 customers from around the nation visited Teraoka's booth to see our latest "new innovations". Teraoka's new concept system and products, which will establish the next standard, were highlighted. In the retail industry business this included the POS ECR self scanning terminal, plural labelling function of integrated weigh/wrap/label system, service scale printer with transparent display, electronic product display linked with service scale printer in the sales counter, and product identification system collaboratively implemented in the Ubiquitous system.
The newest is DELIOUS, a total solution for restaurants, which includes POS registers, three ordering systems, and ASP service for food information and management, which will be released soon.
Furthermore, Teraoka presented our total after sales service: three call service centers in Japan; 24 hours a day/ 365 days a year help desk; auto update, remote control and obstacle surveillance from central locations; and 700 field service engineers at more than 150 service branches nationwide. The presentation corner received much attention. Visitors felt that Teraoka is the supplier that can provide high quality service as well as high quality products.
