As host, Shanghai Teraoka's Managing Director Shi Guo Xing opened the meeting and welcomed DIGI family members from all over the world.   Following Mr. Shi's opening speech, Kazuharu Teraoka, CEO of Teraoka/DIGI group companies gave the keynote address focusing on the theme "New Frontier". CEO Kazuharu Teraoka explained how this philosophy has been evident at Teraoka/DIGI by showing the world-first innovations since 1934, and then presented DIGI's wide range of "New Frontier" products in Retail, Food industry, Logistics and Hospitality business fields. Kenny Peter Charagionis S A Chandran   Following CEO Kazuharu Teraoka's speech, DIGI's new products developed with the "New Frontier" concept were presented by the representatives of the four Teraoka/DIGI global operation points in Shanghai China, Singapore, Suffolk UK and Tokyo Japan. Included in these were: "Hi-Touch Self Service" for the sales counter, modular type POS ECR, "Delious" . total operation and management system for hospitality business, and logistics solutions. DIGI family members gathered in Shanghai from worldwide. More than 200 delegates from over 50 nations joined the DIGI World Meeting, the largest scale conference ever. Taka Hattori receives his award and a standing ovation from DIGI family members   From the marketing angle, DIGI distributors presented a number of success stories from around the world including Denmark, Germany, Norway and Austria. DIGI family members were then encouraged to share ideas with each other.   At the farewell dinner party, Taka Hattori of Teraoka Tokyo organized the DIGI Award ceremony and was the recipient of a big surprise. CEO Kazuharu Teraoka presented DIGI Hall of Fame plaques to Cornelious C. Kenny of DIGI Systems Ltd., Peter Charagionis of Chronografiki S.A., and S A Chandran of Essae-Teraoka Ltd. Then another DIGI Award plaque was presented to a surprised Taka Hattori for his contributions to establishing and marketing DIGI worldwide for more than 30 years, by CEO Kazuharu Teraoka. A DIGI family member commented, "I think the highlight of the DIGI World Meeting was the standing ovation given to Taka for the great job he has done for all of us".
