DIGI Food Industry Conference held at DIGI Europe Ltd., in UK

Discussions continued for providing customers with the best solution
DIGI Europe Ltd.(DEL) hosted the sales conference on Jan. 18th and 19th, in which 30 DIGI distributors attended the 2-day conference with some 70 delegates taking part, including 20 sales and technical engineers from Teraoka Japan's Food Industry BU, DIGI I's Ltd. and DIGI Europe Ltd.
Nobuhiro Yui, President of DIGI I's Ltd. (production point including DIGI food industry products) attended the conference and met DIGI distributors and representatives from DIGI Europe Ltd. This was an important opportunity for him to hear directly from DIGI distributors about the worldwide markets they serve, President Yui frankly told the group.
The machines on demonstration, many for the first time, included the full line of new 700 series: HI-700's complete range including twin labellers top and bottom labellers with both versions of non cassette and cassette labellers, MI-700, WI-700, DPS-700, TP-700, CM-700, and LI-700. From Teraoka Japan, the LIS- camera system, TCS-2101 Combination scale, TCW-WP and 1TCW LED with Blue tooth operation and finally an X ray machine were presented.
Some 70 delegates worldwide gathered to attend the two-day conference.
At the end of the conference a discussion took place collectively with both DIGI and distributors to openly discuss what had been shown during the 2-day conference. It was widely accepted that the enhancement to the range of additional machines during the last year had greatly improved the position of the 700 series in the world markets.
DEL also announced at the conference that they received an order of 20 CW-700 check weighers from one factory site in the UK. This endorsed the belief that the 700 series was right for the world markets together with the newly announced range of equipment. This would then give distributors a much-improved range of equipment to offer our current and future customers.
I would like to say "Thank you" to all involved in making this a successful meeting. I firmly believe our products, vision, and working together with the Food Industry BU is keeping us at front now and in the future.

The DIGI AW-4600 is the hit of FMI 2007

Rob Wills(right), NBI Wrapper Specialist, and Jack Burton, NBI Regional Manager, admire their favorite DIGI product, the AW-4600 at FMI 2007
NBI exhibited at the FMI Show 2007 for the 33rd consecutive year, held at McCormick Place, Chicago on May 5-6. This show is the largest supermarket show held in the United States. In addition to US participation, approximately 25% of the visitors are from overseas. This is a major yearly effort by NBI to promote and support the DIGI brand worldwide.
The AW-4600, Super Stretch Wrapper, generated by far the most interest at the show. This machine does things that no other wrapper in the world can do. It will easily, consistently and reliably wrap any size tray from the 1S to 1014 inch in a fully automatic mode. No other wrapper in the world can handle this wide range of package sizes and do it with one roll of standard PVC film. In addition, it is the most compact wrapping, weighing and labelling system on the market. The robot arm label applicators assure that price and POP labels are placed perfectly on each package no matter the size of the package. The ability to randomly print and apply up to 3 labels on one package is unique to DIGI.
Tom Baumann demonstrates e-Label and Hi-Touch to prospective customers at FMI 2007
Also on exhibit were the Tamper Evident Printer, DPS-4600, the full range of SM-500 and SM-700 scale printer, e-Label and Hi-Touch, low-end price computing and portion scales and NBI's new range of meat slicing machines.
The Tamper Evident Printer shows great promise with chains concerned about preventing food tampering and with maintaining the safety and security of the food supply chain.
All in all the FMI Show results will bring additional momentum and excitement to NBI's sales of DIGI products.
