NBI has closed an order for 2,400 units of SM-720 service scale printer from Ahold operating companies in the USA.

The SM-720s are replacing SM-90 installed in the past, to upgrade the scale performance for their current and future operational needs in their stores.

The operator interface, training, and network support for the SM-720 scales are essentially identical to other DIGI scales in service at Ahold. This virtually eliminates the need for updated training, label design, or any changes to their network support process. In addition to the SM-720’s overall good performance, Ahold cited the reliability and service history of the scales as a reason they again selected DIGI for their U.S. operations.

These scales will be installed on a 10-week schedule, encompassing 450 stores in 9 states throughout the North Eastern U.S.A., completed before the end of March, 2014. It took tremendous work by everyone to meet Ahold’s aggressive production and installation schedule. DIGI, together with NBI were able to achieve these deadlines. We received particular thanks from NBI for the critical support and outstanding performance by our factory in Singapore in meeting the deadlines for this order.
