Expansion of Carrefour in Macedonia, with the presence of DIGI

On October 4th, Carrefour opened the first hypermarket in Skopje, the capital of the Republic of Macedonia. We are proud to announce it is equipped with DIGI.

As was introduced in DIGI News Bulletin Vol.28/No69/2012, Elecs Group-Holding Ltd., DIGI representative both in Bulgaria and Macedonia, was selected for DIGI as the sole supplier for Carrefour Bulgaria for the year 2012.

Carrefour is the biggest retailer in Europe and continues its expansion in the region of the Balkans. After opening several hypermarkets and supermarkets in Bulgaria and one hypermarket in Albania, Carrefour developed their operation in Macedonia.

The new hypermarket is situated in the City Mall in Skopje, where 16 units of SM-5100, a SM-100H and 2 scale platforms were installed. Elecs successfully completed the installation and training in cooperation with UniStar Trade, the dealer of Elecs in Macedonia. From now on, all the maintenance and service of DIGI equipment will be done by UniStar Trade. Since 2004 UniStar Trade, under the management of Mr. Georgi Cadiev, promotes successfully the brand of DIGI in Macedonia.

DIGI’s reputation and reliability at Carrefour has become stronger and stronger.
