Extended shelf life with MAP reduces food waste

MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) is a packaging technology that replaces the air inside a package with a modified gas mixture, making it possible to maintain freshness and visual appearance for a longer time.
The gas mixtures used consist of the same gases that make up the air we normally breath, MAP simply changes their ratio in the mix in order to slow down oxidation and microbial growth, thereby extending product shelf life.
As a result, retailers can keep shelves well stocked, reduce lost sales, and help minimize food waste.

Right-sized produce for smaller households

For smaller families or people living alone, whole fruits and vegetables are often too large to consume before they spoil. With DIGI's technology, most of irregularly shaped produce can be effortlessly machine-wrapped without trays.
This enables retailers to offer a wider range of portion sizes that better meet customer needs, helping to reduce food waste caused by overpurchasing. Eliminating trays also reduces packaging waste and helps minimize environmental impact.

DIGI's unique technology - super-stretch

With super-stretch technology, the film can be stretched wider to fit bigger tray sizes. By doing this we can use a narrower film roll than standard stretch wrappers and therefore use less film per pack.
The result is less film waste, lower costs, and a more sustainable packaging solution.

Less waste and lower costs with DIGI's linerless labels

One major benefit of linerless labels is the elimination of liner waste. DIGI's linerless labels have no back paper (liner), which means zero liner waste. Label length is automatically adjusted to the information printed on the label, minimizing the label size.
This significantly reduces paper consumption. Reducing the use of wood, water and electricity needed for producing paper liners is an effective way of lowering both cost and environmental impact.
