Since 1965, Tariq Halal has become a renowned Halal meat specialist, recently opening multiple new sites surrounding London, Reading, Manchester and Cardiff. As part of their expansion, they were looking for a comprehensive hardware package that could be tailored to their specific needs and rolled out across multiple stores.
To fit in with the modern and customer-focused environment of each store, the solution had to be visually pleasing, simple to operate and add value to the customer’s overall experience. The solution provided to each site by DIGI consists of:
Multiple SM-6000 PC-based scales, each featuring a large 15” rear display, which is ideal for in-store advertising and promotions, helping to upsell to customers and increase branding. The linerless label printing technology also supports sustainability goals and reduces the consumable costs to the business.
The POS system is provided by BOX technologies, a user-friendly point-of-sale solution that integrates seamlessly with Zebra barcode scanners and secure cash drawers.
The entire suite of hardware is integrated with Scotweigh’s cloud-based software, enabling real-time data access and advanced reporting across all store locations.
Achieving sustainability goals is important for Tariq Halal, the obvious decision was to adopt Linerless label technology. DIGI's linerless labels take full advantage of the functionality of our label printers and do away with the paper liners in traditional label printing. In addition to zero liner waste, label length is automatically adjusted and cut to the amount of information on each label, thereby minimising label size.
