Product Strap Banding Machine: RGW-560ll

Ayam Yook, located in Moonachie, NJ, is a specialty meat processing and distribution center where they prepare meat products that are cut, weighed, labeled and packed. The company has worked closely with DIGI America for years, operating a wide range of DIGI equipment across their production floor

In March 2025, Ayam Yook introduced a new marinated product line and sought a packaging method that would showcase the product while maintaining full labeling compliance. The goal was to avoid traditional labels covering too much of the product's surface and to deliver a cleaner, more modern presentation. After consultation with their DIGI America Sales Representative Theresa LaBelle, the RGW-560II banding machine was installed to run exclusively on their new marinated product line.

Currently, the RGW-560II operates once a week, producing around 500 packs each Wednesday. Kevin, Ayam Yook's Chef and Production Lead, highlights the RGW for its versatility, allowing the use of multiple container sizes and the ability to include transparent banding to the product for a visually appealing look.

The transparent banding has proven to be of high value as customers can fully view the product while still seeing all required product information, creating a premium, professional appearance that encourages a second look on store shelves

. RGW-560II also reduces waste and rework. Previously, labeling errors meant trays had to be discarded or labels very carefully peeled off and replaced. With banding, any labeling mistake can be quickly corrected by removing and replacing the band. Troubleshooting is straightforward as the RGW provides clear on-screen instructions and visual guides to resolve issues.

Ayam Yook's equipment lineup extends far beyond the RGW-560II. They also run (2) SM-5300X scales for weighed and labeled products - producing 1,600 items each Tuesday. (3) DIGI AW-5600ATII Wrappers connected to DIGI IoT, (2) DPS-800 - one table top version for labeling containers and the other on a stand for weighing boxes. Finally a MI700 auto label applier in their production line.

“The SM-5300X scales are particularly well-liked by staff for their simple settings, fast updates, and ease of operation,
making it easy to get into a rhythm during production runs”  mentioned Kevin. 

From premium product presentation to operational flexibility, the RGW560II has already proven to be a valuable addition to Ayam Yook's processing line. The company is optimistic about expanding RGW use to additional products in the future, continuing their strong partnership with DIGI America to deliver both quality and efficiency.
